Louise
Meuwissen is a Melbourne based multi-disciplinary artist. Her work
seeks to explores perception and the ways in which visual &
environmental stimuli have ability to influence cognitive function;
namely relating to individual & collective engagement with
environments. Typically incorporating found and recycled materials,
craft practices, and psychedelic imagery, she creates immersive works
that focus upon looking at the overlooked and the relationship
between beauty and the grotesque. Meuwissen's practice primarily
involves working in painting, embroidery and installation. She
completed her Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting), at The Victorian
